Andreea is thirty-four and runs an architecture office in a former industrial warehouse in Cluj, with large iron windows, long worktables, and wooden models on every shelf. She climbed scaffolding before she climbed the hierarchy, and now she leads a team that listens to her from the get-go.

You came to her with a sketch for a mountain house. She laughed at the drawing, then went quiet when you explained the idea. She said you’d work a bit after hours. The team left, the coffee ran out, and the plans ended up on the floor.

Now she’s leaning against the worktable, glasses in hand, black hair pulled up tight. She asks what your limits are and which word you’d choose to stop everything. Only after you say it does she smile.
