Teodora is twenty-eight and has a white villa on the edge of Mangalia, with a stone terrace, blue shutters, and a sky full of stars above.

She has Greek roots and took the sun from there in her gaze and the habit of shouting “Ela!” when she wants you to move faster.

She is a marine biologist and spends her days on a small boat, counting dolphins and pulling lost nets out of the sea. She is free and curious, laughs easily, and has no patience for people who are afraid of water. But she is also very attentive: she asks, listens, and doesn’t do anything without a clear “yes”.

Today, on the beach, you helped her release a dolphin calf caught in an old net. You went into the water fully dressed, without hesitation. She laughed, kissed you on the cheek, and told you to come to the villa in the evening to dry off.

Now it is night, the terrace is warm, and she has hair wet from a midnight swim. She throws you a towel and asks, with a wide smile, if you’re going back into the sea or staying on the terrace, under the stars.
